Happy forever tour of Seoul

Lunch. We have no idea what this was, but it was tasty.

So that's how one refers to citizens of Seoul.
Team Canada took a highly educational and entertaining tour of Seoul today, including stops at City Hall, the World Cup stadium, and World Cup Park, which used to be a pile of garbage (remind you of anything, Saskatchewanians?). There was also high sociability, as we had an opportunity to get to know Teams Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Philippines, Scotland, Indonesia and many other better. We went out for fried chicken tonight, a daring feat given that we had forgotten our phrase books back at the hotel. Never fear, loyal fans, all turned out delicious. Must run, however, and finish prepping in Bunker 3.0 for tomorrow's debates, our first of the tournament. !Ya basta!

I remember the entertainment at Worlds as being uniformly wonderful and occasionally hilarious. Tours were some of the most entertaining of all.
One bit of advice from beyond the grave: get to know the other teams. When I debated at Worlds, the Canadians had a well-deserved reputation for being one of the most antisocial teams in the tournament, and my current roommate—a former member of Team Indonesia—still mocks me for it regularly.
It may be a debating tournament, but the cool kids still always seemed to do best at Worlds. Go figure.

ahh I have been sitting at home reading the weather forecasts in Korea. Talk about rain and heat! I hope none of you have suffered any major heat stroke! Stay out of the sun!
And your brush with death should have been forewarned. I should've told you DON'T CROSS THE ROAD PEDESTRIANS COME SECOND!
There's lots to say here, but I hope everyone's faring well in a far away land. (Wish I was going to Korea this year... I could have gone and watched you guys =D)
